Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 500 gmcarrot (chopped)
  2. 1big onion (chopped)
  3. 2green chillies (slit)
  4. 2 tspcurry leaves
  5. 2 tbspgrated coconut
  6. 1 tspmustard seeds
  7. 1/2 tspurad dal
  8. 1 tspchana dal
  9. 1/2 tspcumin/jeera seeds
  10. To tastesalt
  11. 2 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds after it cracks add urad dal and chanadhal fry till golden.

    Add cumin seeds and curry leaves followed by onion and green chilli. Saute till golden brown.

    Next add the carrots and salt. Sprinkle water and cover with lid. Cook for 5 minutes till carrots are done. Add grated coconut and give a quick stir.
