Meat Sauce Over Fried Rice Meat Sauce Over Fried Rice
I made this recipe as a way for my kids to eat the vegetables that they normally wouldn't eat served individually.I used meat sauce made in advance. This can be easily made with store-bought sauce, so it's handy for times when you need a quick lunch. Stir frying the vegetables and the rice together, then placing the meat sauce on top prevents the dish from becoming too pasty. Recipe by Yupun cookpad.japan -

Great with Rice! Chopped Pork Piccata with Sauce Great with Rice! Chopped Pork Piccata with Sauce
This is a recipe I thought of to use up leftover sauce.I don't particularly like the combination of eggs with sauce, but after I cooked this, it took the edge off of the sauce, and it was an unexpectedly tasty discovery. When I added pork, it became the best side dish for rice .It's ok to increase or decrease the amount of sauce to your liking. It's also good when using lean meat such as pork shoulder loin. For 2 servings. Recipe by Kumameshi cookpad.japan -
Japanese Hamburg Steak + Demi-Glace Sauce with Rice Japanese Hamburg Steak + Demi-Glace Sauce with Rice
Last week, I attended a trial cooking class at ABC Cooking Studio. They offered three menu options, two of which were baked goods, but since I don't have an oven in my condo, I opted for the Hamburg steak class. It turned out great, so I decided to make it at home and share the recipe with you all.The ingredients listed here are for one serving... In the picture, I made enough for four servings, so it looks like a lot. @bowiehoneybabyTranslated from Cookpad Thailand -

Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu
Fried bean curd cooked in a sweet-savory sauce on rice (called kitsune-don) is delicious and I love it, but I thought that in the summer months when appetites are lagging something spicy like this would be better. My husband really liked it so I decided to upload it here! You can freeze aburaage (fried flat tofu), so it's useful to keep stocked. I make the sauce with dashi stock so it's not that spicy. It's also good on top of udon noodles. Recipe by pappatyan cookpad.japan -
Sauce Katsu Rice Bowl Sauce Katsu Rice Bowl
Ever since I had a delicious sauced katsu-don at a highway stop restaurant when I was visiting my parents, I've been going to the same restaurant every time I go home, so I tried re-creating it. (Although it doesn't really live up to the original...)It is easier to eat if you alternate the fatty sides of the pork roast slices as you layer them, so that the fat does not end up in one lump. The number of slices will depend on the thickness, so adjust accordingly. I used 3 pieces for my husband and 2 for myself. Layered sliced pork is more tender and easier to eat. You can also sandwich sliced cheese for a change. Of course, you can use store bought tonkatsu if you like! For 2 servings. Recipe by Suirin cookpad.japan -
Croquettes with Demi-glace Sauce from Leftover Hayashi Rice Croquettes with Demi-glace Sauce from Leftover Hayashi Rice
When you had hayashi rice for dinner on the previous day... sometimes you're left with such small amount of the sauce that's not even enough to serve on rice. It's those times when you feel like shouting, "Who was the last one to eat this!?" These croquettes are perfect for that situation. In Step 2, keep on stirring to prevent the sauce from burning. Try scooping it up with a ladle, and see if it keeps its shape when you drop it into the pan. When adding flour, make sure to add in small batches to avoid any lumps. Please add a small amount of ketchup if it tastes too plain in Step 3. Recipe by Miashanmama cookpad.japan -
Baked Creamy Egg Hayashi Rice Using Leftover Hayashi Sauce Baked Creamy Egg Hayashi Rice Using Leftover Hayashi Sauce
I copied the famous baked curry from Mojikou in Fukoka prefecture. I happened to have leftover Hayashi rice and my husband was out for drinks that night, so I came up with this recipe to have an easy dinner with my daughter. If there's too much Hayashi sauce it gets too watery so use rice to adjust the consistency.Be careful not to burn yourself when taking the the container from the oven. When baking in the oven, bake at 250℃. Eggplant Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce Eggplant Rice Bowl with Sweet and Savory Sauce
I love eggplants. While I was thinking of dishes to prepare with one of my favorite sweet and savory sauces, this was what stuck! If the skin of the eggplant is tough, peel off some strips in a zebra pattern to make it easier to bite into. Once you add the sauce ingredients it will cook down in no time, so make sure to simmer over low heat. Recipe by pappatyan. cookpad.japan
