Ingredients

  1. 1 cupKolum rice
  2. 1/2cup.Splited mogar dal
  3. 1 pc.Potato
  4. 2 tbsp.Ghee
  5. 1onion
  6. 1tomato
  7. 1 tbspginger chilli garlic paste
  8. 1/2 tsp.Cumin sees
  9. 1/4 tsp.Asofoetida
  10. 5-7black pepper
  11. 1/2 cupgreen garlic
  12. 1dry chilli for tadka
  13. 1 tsp.Red chilli powder
  14. as per tastesalt
  15. 5-6 Few curry leaves
  16. 2 tbsp.Peanuts
  17. 1 tbsp.Chopped green garlic
  18. As requiredChilli achaar
  19. As requiredcurd
  20. As required lachha onion salad
  21. As required roasted papad to serve

Cooking Instructions

    Wash dal and soak for 1/2hr.
    Wash rice and soak for 1/2hr.

    Heat ghee in a cooker.Add cumin seeds pepper asofoetida and curry leaves peanuts add chopped onion potato chopped ginger chilli garlic paste and saute till onion looks pink colour. Now add boiled dal turmeric powder and salt mix properly n add water and bring one boil. Now add rice rice and 2glass water mix properly and close the lid.Whistle 4-5.Turn off flame.

    Now open the lid. Gently mix. Take in a serving bowl.

    Now heat ghee in a pan add dry red chilli and red chilli powder and pour on a dal khichdi bowl. Garnish with green garlic Ready to serve. Serve red chilli aachhar onion rings curd and roasted Papad. Tasty healthy Dal khichdi isready to Serve. Serve hot.
