Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 220c, fan 200. Combine the flour and baking powder in a large mixing bowl. Add the butter and rub together with the flour between your fingers to create a breadcrumb texture
- 2
Stir through the grated cheese and wild garlic to evenly distribute.
- 3
Gradually add 130ml of milk and stir to bring together into a dough, using your hands towards the end
- 4
Place on a floured surface and roll out to 2-3cm deep. Cut out 6 scones re-rolling any leftover dough as you go.
- 5
Place on a lined baking tray, brush with the remaining milk and bake for 12-15 mins until golden.
- 6
Allow to cool a little and eat on the same day 💚💥

Wild Garlic Scones (GF, VG) Wild Garlic Scones (GF, VG)
Adapted from Clare Knivett’s recipe, made vegan and gluten free to suit all dietary needs at this year’s Easter brunch 🌱I tested 3 different recipes before I found one that really worked and had enough rise to really call it a scone. I didn’t add vegan cheese to replace regular cheese as it doesn’t always have the nicest taste when baked, but I added mustard which adds an extra savory element. Needless to say I didn’t have any leftovers!#springfeastOriginal recipe here: https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/r/15970616 Genna -

#wildfood #different Spring time is my time of the year for foraging. So much is available right outside. You can find many of these ingredients on the side of the road as you are walking down the street. Make sure you know how to identify your wild onion and garlic. When in doubt trust your nose. Should have a strong smell of onion or garlic. Also, wild food has very strong flavors, so minimum use of salts or seasoning. Enjoy what nature already provides. Jack 5trange: Kitchen Alchemist -
Wild garlic and goat's cheese omelette Wild garlic and goat's cheese omelette
When the spring weather arrives, shady wooded areas all across the UK fill with the smell of wild garlic. The leaves and flowers are both edible and have a beautiful subtle flavour (more like garlicky spinach than traditional bulbs of garlic). Freshly foraged and washed they make a great seasonal addition to an omelette! andrassy -
