Chicken Stew and Tumeric Rice......(Healthy delicious food)

Ingredients

45minutes
Four Servings.
  1. 500 gchicken pieces
  2. Green pepper 2 pieces are ok
  3. Salt
  4. 6table spoons of oil
  5. Tomatoes three large pieces
  6. Carrots thinly sliced 2 is ok
  7. Spices e.g Royco
  8. Red chili powder 1 teaspoon is enough (optional)
  9. 1 tablespoontumeric optional
  10. 3 cupsRice

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the onion, tomatoes,garlic, green pepper,slice carrot pieces into thin pieces.

    Place a cooking pan over the oven and add cut onions and garlic and stir until they turn brown and a nice aroma comes from it. Add the tomatoes and all the other spices but not the chicken pieces. Stir until all the pieces mingle together and the stew is a bit thick without too much water.Boil the chicken pieces for fifteen minutes to thirty until the pieces are soft.

    Add the boiled chicken pieces to the stew and stir until it mixes well.Add a half a cup of water or more depending with the amount of soup you want.Now add the salt to the cooking chicken and let it cook for three more minutes then remove it.

    Now for the rice pour three cups of rice into a pot or pressure cooker add double the amount of water I.e six glasses of hot or warm water. Add one tablespoon of tumeric to the rice and water,add three teaspoon of salt and three tablespoons of cooking oil. Place the pot in the rice cooker and cook or oven or Jiko and cook for forty five minutes.

    Once the rice is well cooked,warm the chicken and serve. Now my dear friends you can enjoy the meal of chicken stew and tumeric rice.😘
