I made this one night for dinner one night not expecting it to turn out as amazing as it is. To my surprise my extremely picky eater daughter loved it and now asks for it as "Dad's Famous Mac n Cheese". Great thing about this is everything is cooked separately so if someone doesn't like pork you can very easily do a side of plain Mac n cheese.

Dad's Famous BBQ Pork Mac n Cheese

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupsCranberry Ginger Ale
  2. Water (As needed)
  3. 2 clovesgarlic
  4. 1/2of an onion
  5. 1 TBSPMarjoram
  6. 1 TSPCinnamon
  7. 2 TBSP(Grill Mates) Brown sugar Bourbon seasoning
  8. 1 TSPHoney
  9. 1 TBSPBBQ sauce
  10. 1 lbPork Roast
  11. BBQ Sauce
  12. 1 lbElbow macaroni
  13. 1 Stickbutter
  14. 2 ozCream Cheese
  15. 8 ozExtra Sharp White Cheddar
  16. 4 ozMonterey Jack
  17. 16 ozHeavy Whipping Cream
  18. 3 ozSwiss
  19. 1/2 cupGrated Parmesan
  20. 1hand full Mozzarella

Cooking Instructions

    Add ginger ale, water (as needed to cook pork), garlic, onion, marjoram and cinnamon to crock pot and stir.

    Add thawed pork roast to mixture. Top with brown sugar Bourbon seasoning, BBQ sauce and honey.

    Cook on high heat for 3-4 hours, or until meat is tender.

    Drain any remaining broth. Shred pork, then add BBQ sauce (personal preference on how much sauce you like).

    Cook macaroni until al dente.

    Cube Cheddar, Monterey Jack and swiss cheeses.

    In a sauce pan add butter and whipping cream on medium/low heat. Stir together once butter melts and add cream cheese.

    Once cream mixture is melted, slowly add the cubes of cheese. Stirring continually until all cheese is melted.

    Add parmesan cheese and stir for 2 minutes. Making sure cheese is dissolved and well mixed. Remove cheese sauce from heat.

    In a casserole dish mix macaroni and cheese sauce together. Then layer BBQ pork on to the macaroni. Top with a hand full of mozzarella.

    Bake at 350° uncovered for 10 minutes.

    Let stand a few minutes out of the oven, cheese sauce will be like molten lava, and enjoy!
