Ingredients

  1. For kadi:
  2. 500 mlbutter milk or 250 gm sour curd
  3. 150 gmbesan/gram flour
  4. 1/2 tspGarlic paste
  5. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 tspRoasted Jeera powder
  7. 1 tsppunjabi Garam Masala
  8. 2-3green chillies finely chopped
  9. leavesCoriander
  10. to tasteSalt
  11. For tempering :
  12. 1onion chopped
  13. Oil for tempering
  14. 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  15. 1/4 tsp hing
  16. leavesCurry
  17. 1/4 tspmethi dana/Fenugreek
  18. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  19. For pakode:
  20. 200 gmbesan
  21. 2Onion chopped
  22. 2green chillies finely chopped
  23. finely choppedCoriander leaves
  24. 1potato cut into very small pieces
  25. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  26. to tasteSalt
  27. Oil to deep fry

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all ingredients of Kadhai in a mixing bowl. Add water according to desired thickness.

    Heat oil in a Kadhai. Add mustard seeds. Once it splutter add methi Dana, curry leaves & onion. Once it translucent add hing, red chilli powder.

    Add besan batter. Mix properly. Stir continuously on slow flame. Cook it for 20-25 minutes on simmer heat.

    Meanwhile make pakode batter. Add all ingredients of pakode on a bowl. Add 2-3 tsp oil. Mix all.

    Heat oil in a Kadhai. Drop 1 tsp batter in hot oil with your fingers. Fry them until golden brown on medium flame. Keep it aside.

    Add pakode in boiling kadhi. Boil it for 5 minutes more.

  7. 7

    Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with Jeera rice.
