Everyone I know loves aloo poori..Sat or Sun lunch be like this😍
Flavourful aloo sabzi..it's my familys favourite..specially my father and my husband.
Scared that my family will disown me after my appe obsession..this was redemption of sorts..
Peacefully now i can continue with my experiments for few days till I see boredom and craving of what they call normal food on their faces. 🤔😃😉
My daughter thinks i might even start making pooris in appe pan now...and my father anyways tells my mum that I cant cook like her..he teases me saying सब्ज़ी को तेल सिर्फ दिखाकर डब्बे में वापिस डाल देती है 🤣🤣

Ingredients

  1. 6-7medium sized potatoes boiled
  2. 1Cubeall except
  3. 1Mash potato
  4. 2 tspregular cooking oil
  5. 1 tspmustard oil
  6. Keep ready
  7. 1/2 tspeach of
  8. Rai or mustard seeds
  9. 🔺️Whole jeera
  10. Whole dhaniya or coriander seeds
  11. 1/4 tspeach of
  12. Methi seeds or fenugreek seeds
  13. Saunf or fennel seeds
  14. 2dried red chillies whole
  15. 2-3whole green elaichi split open
  16. 4-5whole black peppercorns
  17. 2-3 clovesor laung
  18. 1small stick daalchini or cinnamon🔻
  19. Hing or asafoetida powder
  20. 8-10curry leaves
  21. to tasteSalt
  22. 1/2 tspHaldi
  23. 1/2 tspRed Chilli powder
  24. 1/2 tspAmchoor powder
  25. 1/2 tspJaggery little less than
  26. Hara dhaniya for garnish

    Method

    In a pan pour both the oils.
    Add rai. Once that splutters make the gas flame low and add all the whole masalas under 🔺️🔻and add hing.
    Add the mashed potato and mix. Add curry leaves and the remaining cubed potatoes and mix again.
    Add salt haldi red chilli powder and amchoor and mix again. Add atleast 2 to 2 and a half cups of water and stir. Now change to the gas flame to high.

    Once it comes to a boil switch the gas flame to low and let this boil till the gravy reaches your desired consistency. This lets the flavour of the whole spices seep in the gravy. Add gur at this stage.
    Once it's done..(the gravy is not too thick and not too thin) garnish with a lot of hara dhaniya.
    Tastes bestest with poori and nothing else 💕
