Ingredients

  1. 1 CupWhite lentils (Urad dal)
  2. 3 CupsIdli Rava
  3. 1 tspFenugreek seeds (Methi dane)
  4. As requiredWater
  5. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and Soak White lentils, Fenugreek seeds 4 hours. After that make a smooth paste of it.

    Now wash Idli Rava properly, squeeze it and mix with the above paste. Cover it and rest for 8 hours.

    Now if required add a little amount of water. Add salt as per taste. Don't over-mix the batter.

    Grease the Idli pan/stand and add the batter in that and give steam. For the first 6 minutes keep high flame afterward steam on low flame for 6 minutes. Now remove the stand and remove idlies.

    Your tasty Semolina Idli is ready to serve. You can serve with coconut chutney or Sambhar.
