Put a little water in tamarind and heat in microwave for 3-4 minutes.

When it cools down squeeze all the pulp, in the remaining tamarind again add a little water and squeeze again so as to get all of the tamarind pulp.

Put some oil in the frying pan and roast cumin seeds. When they are roasted add sugar in it.

Add the tamarind pulp and let it cook, when bubbles start rising pour it in the serving bowl.

It will become thicker once cooled down.
