Ingredients

5-6 persons
  1. 1/2 cupblack split urad dal
  2. 1/2 cupmix dal(toor dal,chana dal, moong dal)
  3. 1onion chopped
  4. 6-8garlic cloves
  5. 2green chillies
  6. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1 pinchhing(asafoetida)
  9. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  10. 1/4 tsp sugar
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. as neededCoriander leaves for garnishing
  13. as neededWater to dilute the dal

Cooking Instructions

    Cook the dal for 3 whistles.smash and keep aside. Don't make smooth paste...

    In a pan roast onion garlic with 1 tspn oil. Let it cool down. Grind to paste with green chillies

  3. 3

    In a kadhai take oil add add mustard, cumin and ground paste and saute till raw smell goes. Add turmeric,red chilli powder, coriander powder, sugar and saute

    Add cooked and mashed dal and salt, water. Mix well add coriander leaves and bring to boil.

    Raedy to serve with bhakri, bhat.
