Cabbage Kootu and long beans curry

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsCabbage
  2. 1.5 cupsMoong dal
  3. 1 tspUrad dal
  4. 1 tspCumin seeds
  5. 1/4 tspPepper corns
  6. 3Red chillies
  7. 1 tbspCoconut
  8. 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  9. 1 pinchTurmeric powder
  10. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. 1 tbspCoconut oil
  13. as neededCurry leaves a few

Cooking Instructions

    Cook mung dal and cabbage for 3 whistles and keep it aside

    In a pan add oil add urad dal,cumin seeds,pepper corns and red chillies until golden brown. Add coconut and grind it into a coarse powder

  3. 3

    In a pan add oil,when it is hot add mustard seeds. When it splutter add curry leaves and cooked cabbage moong dal mixture. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder and salt. Cook on a medium flame add the grounded powder and Hing. Let it boil fr few minutes. Coconut oil will give flavour to the kootu
