  3. 2red dry red chilli
  4. 1 tablespoonUrad dal
  5. 1 tablespoonCoriander seeds
  6. 1 tablespoonBengal gram
  7. 1 smallCinnamon stick
  8. 3Cloves
  9. 2 tablespoonsCoconut scrapping
  10. 1 pinchAsefotodia powder
  11. 4 tablespoonsOil
  12. 1big onions sliced
  13. 1 tspGinger small pieces
  14. 1Green chilli
  15. 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
  16. 1/2Tomato sliced
  17. 50 gmsGreen peas

Cooking Instructions

    Preparation of Khara bhath: In a kadhai dry roast 2 red chillies, coriander seeds, cinnamon,Urad dal, coconut and asafoetida

    After cooling, grind it to a fine or coarse powder

  3. 3

    Now in a kadhai, add oil,after it gets heated add the mustard seeds followed by onions, ginger, chilli.

    Once it changes it's colour add tomato, green peas and carrot and sauté

  5. 5

    Now add turmeric powder, and coarse grinded powder into the kadai

  6. 6

    Once everything is sautéd well, add required water and needed salt

  7. 7

    Once it comes to boiling point add the rava into it and mix well without lumps

  8. 8

    Add the coriander leaves and curry leaves before taking off from stove

  9. 9

    Now khara bhath is ready

    Preparation of kesari bhath

  11. 11

    And then add water and saffron colour and cardamom to it and mix well without any lumps

  12. 12

    Once the water has been absorbed, add sugar and ghee if needed and mix well

  13. 13

    Take off the stove once it’s in a semi consistency

  14. 14

    Now serve masala spicy khara bhath with coconut chutney and sweet kesari bhath
