材料

4-5 servings
  1. northern beans can (rinsed and drained) 1 can (15oz)
  2. onion (diced) 1 medium
  3. carrot (diced) 2 medium or 1 large
  4. celery (diced) 1 stalk
  5. Prosciutto de Parma 2 slices
  6. ↑ (tear into bite-sized pieces)
  7. garlic (crushed) 1 clove
  8. extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons
  9. water 3 cups
  10. better than bouillon chicken base 2 teaspoons
  11. crushed red pepper one pinch
  12. dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon
  13. kosher salt one pinch + more to taste
  14. freshly ground black pepper to taste
  15. fresh Italian parsley for garnish

作り方

    Prepare all the ingredients!

    Oil in a small Dutch oven over medium heat.

    Add onion, carrot and celery and cook 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    This is a key step to make a soup base. Stir occasionally.

    Add ham, garlic, water, broth, red pepper and thyme.

  6. 6

    Bring to a boil, cover and lower the heat and simmer.

  7. 7

    Cook 5 mins or until veggies get tender. Add beans.

  8. 8

    Cook until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.

  9. 9

    Serve!

コツ・ポイント

Since the beans were cooked, to keep the texture you only need to heat it up in the broth.
