Gather all the ingredients.

Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add pasta and cook.

Reduce pasta cooking time by 1min so we FINISH it in the PAN

Meanwhile, oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add tomato sauce and white wine. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer to adjust the sauce thickness.

Add the cheese and stir perpetually until the cheese melts.

Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer pasta and add basil. Toss over medium high heat.

Serve.

Add cream cheese right before tossing with the pasta to avoid overcooking it.
