Ingredients

  1. 500 gNjahi (black bean)
  2. Onions
  3. Green pepper
  4. Carrots
  5. Courgette
  6. Garlic
  7. Oil
  8. 1Knorr chicken cube
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. Rice cooked
  11. Cabbage cooked

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Boil the beans. (I soak mine overnight before boiling) let them cook well.

  2. 2

    Drain any water and slightly mash them.

  3. 3

    In a different pan, add oil and onions. Sauté until browned and add chopped tomatoes, Courgette, pepper garlic and carrots. Stir them as they fry so they don't stick on pan

    Once cooked, add the mashed black beans and salt to taste. Stir and add a ½ cup of water. Let it simmer on low heat. (Add more water if you need the gravy.

    Add a knorr chicken cube to enhance the taste

    Once done, serve with rice and cabbage. Or any other starch and vegetables of your choice.
