Savoury Corn Waffles Savoury Corn Waffles
#HFFMonsoon_SpecialWhen the pitter patter sound of rain falls the tummy craves for something hot, crispy, crunchy and of course with corn in it. You must have eaten sweet waffles but I made these crisp, Savoury Corn Waffles for that baarish wali bhook. Easy to make and delicious when it's raining.I have never made waffles at home and I just blindly whisked up my own vegetarian savoury waffle recipe. Next on my list is crispy potato waffles for myself and chicken for my daughter. This spicy and filling corn and pepper stuffed waffle can be eaten as a starter or at breakfast or dinner, especially in summers. You can serve the waffles on a bed of lettuce, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, diced onions, red pepper flakes or any sauce. You can add mixed herbs, cheese or spices to the batter if you wish. I like a little spice and served the Savoury Corn Waffles with chilli garlic and Sriracha sauce.Yes, these waffles are made with refined flour but I am going to try with whole wheat or mixed grain. Lemon Macarons with Italian Meringue Lemon Macarons with Italian Meringue
Using the recipe from Pierre Herme's book "Macaron" as a base, I added a few detailed steps so that no one will fail making this. This is a recipe which I made many times with many trials and errors, to make the ideal macaroon as imagined by Pierre Herme.●If you use fresh eggs, the shell might crack or will not have a "pied" or "foot", so make sure to use old eggs.●For making Italian meringue, the keys are the temperature of the syrup and when to add it to the egg white. When adding the syrup, add little at a time, but whip up quickly! The meringue will harden if you are too slow. For 12 pieces of 4 cm [1.6 in] macarons. Recipe by yukoz1 cookpad.japan -

Christmas Morning Pancakes Christmas Morning Pancakes
Red and Green pancakes on Christmas morning have been a tradition at our house since the 1960's. I vividly recall my dad making these in our basement on Christmas morning (yes, we had a stove in our basement) because he always made such a mess when he cooked that my mother would not let him use the kitchen stove! This recipe uses powdered buttermilk which you can find with the condescend milk at your grocery store. It keeps much longer than liquid buttermilk and you have it when you need it.GrampE
