These cookies are very buttery but light and crispy. I have been using this recipe for more than 5 years.

I wanted to make an easy cookie recipe which used chocolate chips.Please refer to my tips for how to roll the dough. If you make these with butter, it will be a little harder to get the dough to come together after you add the chocolate chips, but when you squeeze the dough you'll be able to roll it into balls. Really simple recipe and great fun for the kids too. We've tried them with marshmallows stuck into the tops before baking and chopped up Twix bars too instead of the chocolate chips, both came out great.
