Ingredients

  1. 1 kgmutton pieces
  2. 1 cupghav (wheat kernels)
  3. 1/4 cuptoor dal
  4. 1/4 cupmoong dal
  5. 1/4 cupmasoor dal
  6. 1/4 cupurad dal
  7. 1/4 cupchana dal
  8. 1/4 cuprice
  9. 12-15green chillies
  10. 1big piece of ginger
  11. 1 tbspnginger garlic paste
  12. 3medium roughly chopped onion
  13. 4-5 tbspnoil
  14. Salt
  15. Water
  16. 1 1/2 tspcoriander seeds
  17. 1 1/2 tspfennel seeds
  18. 10-15curry leaves
  19. 15-18garlic cloves
  20. 1 cupfried onion
  21. 1 bunchmint leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Take 1 cup of ghav (wheat kernels) add water and soak overnite. Same way add all the dals 1/4 cup each(toor dal,moong dal,masoor dal,chana dal and urad dal) and 1/4 cup rice in a bowl add water and soak overnite!

    Take a very big vessel fill with water till almost more than hlf portion add roughly 3 medium chopped onion,1tbspn ginger garlic paste,12 to 15 green chillies,1 big piece of freshly chopped ginger and 4 to 5 tbspn oil close the lid and let it boil! Once it's starts boiling add soaked ghav (wheat kernels) and washed 1 kg mutton pieces (uncooked) keep on mixing it!

    Again it starts to boil add all the soaked dal and rice add 1 1/2 tsp of coriander seeds and 1 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds keep on mixing it till everythg is combined and cooked well! Add salt to it #NOTE - add salt only after mutton is almost cooked# *Note - wenever you feel water is needed more,always add hot water to it* cook till it's thick and mutton also cooked well as everything we used is uncooked! Ready!

    Take a pan add little oil,add some fresh curry leaves and chopped garlic saute, add to the haleem mix it well! Take out in a plate garnish with fried onions and chopped mint leaves! serve hot!
