While growing up, this was the way we enjoyed our beans. My mum would cook the plain bean until it's soft and tender then serve us with onions flavoured vegetable oil/groundnut oil or special palm oil. The use of stew with optional then fried plantains and garri to bind it...lol

While growing up, this was the way we enjoyed our beans. My mum would cook the plain bean until it's soft and tender then serve us with onions flavoured vegetable oil/groundnut oil or special palm oil. The use of stew with optional then fried plantains and garri to bind it...lol

Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsBean
  2. Water
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. Ripe plantains
  5. Oil to fry plantains

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Pick out the bad beans and stones then wash with clean water and pour into boiling water. Cook until soft and tender

    Add salt,allow water to dry a bit. Fry the plantains

  3. 3

    Serve with stew of your choice, you will enjoy it hot or warm.
