Simple Apple Madeleines

I improved my previous madeleine recipe by adding the winter flavor "apple" and increasing the amount.

For those who like the crispy crunch of apples, reduce the microwave time at Step 1. Those who like their madeleines to have a strong flavor should add more butter, and those who want to make it healthier should skip the butter and heavy cream and use margarine instead.
The baking time and temperature may varies on your oven, so keep an eye on the madeleines as they bake. Recipe by Tomo55

Cut the apple into 1 cm cubes. Lightly mix in the lemon juice and sugar, and then microwave for 2 minutes at 700W.

Put the butter in a bowl and melt in the microwave. Mix in the sugar and eggs, and then add heavy cream. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  3. 3

Mix the cake flour and baking powder together, and then sift the mixture. Stir the mixture into the bowl from Step 2, add the apples from Step 1 and mix it all together.

  4. 4

Fill the molds to 80% full with the batter and bake in the oven for 17 minutes at 200°C. When you think they're done, stick a toothpick in and if nothing sticks to it, then the madeleines are done!
