Beef Steak in Japanese-Style Sauce

I learned this recipe from my mother. Until my husband ate this it seemed he felt like homemade steak wasn't so good. But now he loves it.
Please take care to not burn the garlic. This is a simple recipe but it's a surefire hit! Recipe by Aoen

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Remove your steak meat from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking. Cut the garlic into slices.
- 2
Salt and pepper the meat right before cooking.
- 3
Heat the vegetable oil and the sliced garlic in a frying pan on medium heat. The scent of the garlic will transfer to the oil.
- 4
Once the garlic has lightly browned transfer it to a plate. It burns fairly quickly, so you'll have to watch it carefully!
- 5
Increase the heat to high, and once it's properly warmed cook the steak to your liking.
- 6
Once the steak has cooked to your liking, add the sake then the soy sauce in that order. Then add the garlic last and stop the heat.
- 7
Transfer the meat to a serving plate, then top with the sauce in the frying pan together with the garlic and it's complete.

I always eyeball this when I make it, so I wrote down the amounts properly for reference. These are some ingredients that matched the sauce well.Tofu hamburgers, grilled vegetables (eggplant, asparagus, etc.)When making the fried garlic chips, make sure not to burn them. Otherwise they will be bitter. In Step 3, if there is too much oil, soak some up with paper towels before adding the flavoring ingredients. Otherwise the fat will congeal when the sauce is cold. The texture won't be as appealing. Recipe by mico_mico cookpad.japan -
