Ingredients

  1. Udupi Sambhar
  2. 2 cupsToor dal
  3. 2Green chillies
  4. 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  5. 3Tomatoes
  6. 5Small onions
  7. 5Garlic
  8. 1/2 teaspoonAsafoetida
  9. Sambhar Masala
  10. 2 teaspoonCoriander seeds
  11. 4Dry Red chili
  12. 1/2 teaspoonUrad dal
  13. 1/2 teaspoonJeera
  14. 1/2 teaspoonBlack pepper
  15. 1/2 teaspoonChana dal
  16. 1/2 teaspoonMustard Seed
  17. 1 tablespoonOil
  18. 3Garlic
  19. 3Dry red chilli
  20. 2Sliced onions
  21. as per tasteSalt
  22. As neededCurry leaves
  23. as required coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Take the cooker put the soaked toor dal and onions 5 tomatoes 2 green chilli turmeric powder garlic cloves Asafoetida and 4 whilstle should out

    Take mixie jar and put coriander seeds, coconut, Dry Red chillies, urad dal, jeera,black pepper and Chana dal. Grind the spices like a paste.

    Add the paste in the cooker which we did in 1process

    Take a frying pan and add oil 2 teaspoon, Mustard seeds, garlic, Dry red chilli, curry leaves small onions 5 saute until onions turned into brown colour.

    After onions turned into golden brown colour pour the dal which is in the cooker in the frying pan.

    After 8-10 mins off the stove and put little coriander leaves on top.Hot Sambhar ready

    Grind the urad dal and put in the bowl and add 1cup of idli rava fermented over night
    Now batter is ready.

    Take the idli plate apply oil on it and pour idli batter in the plate cook it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes off the stove
    Now hot Idli is ready

    Now serve Hot Idli and Udupi Sambhar and taste it.
