Ingredients

30 minutes
3 servings
  1. 1 cupfresh peas
  2. 1 cupfresh chopped Fenugreek leaves
  3. 200 gpaneer
  4. 1 cupmilk
  5. 6-8cashew nuts
  6. 1 tbspmelon seeds
  7. 3cardamom
  8. 1 inchcinnamon
  9. 1 tspblack pepper powder
  10. 1bay leaf
  11. 1 tspsugar
  12. 1green chili
  13. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  14. 2onions chopped
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. 1/4 cupcream
  17. 2 tbspoil/ghee

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes

    Soak cashew nuts and melon seeds in warm water for half an hour.

    In a mixer grinder grind together soaked cashew nuts, melon seeds, onions and cardamom to fine paste.

    Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Saute for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste and saute on low flame till the raw smell goes away. Now add the pureed paste.

    Add peas and cook covered until the sides leaves the oil.

    Now add Fenugreek leaves. Cook till the leaves turn dark. Add black pepper powder and sugar. Add salt to taste.

    Cook covered for 5 minutes. Now add milk slowly on low flame. Cook well. Adjust consistency.

    Add paneer pieces. Cook for another 2 minutes and serve hot with tandoori roti.
