Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel yam and sweet potato and cut into desired sizes
- 2
Put the yam first in a clean pot with clean water. Place on heat source
- 3
When it's started boiling, and soften a bit, add little salt and the cut potatoes (because sweet potato tends to cook faster reason why it was not added from the beginning)
- 4
Allow to cook completely and strain any excess water(if there's)
- 5
Chop onions and set aside.
- 6
Place a sauce pan on low heat source with palm oil in it. Allow the oil get hot but not bleached, add salt, black pepper powder and stir. Pour in the onions and allow to start caramelizing without getting brown/dark. Our aromatic oil is ready for devouring our soft boiled yam. 😋😋😋
- 7
Serve an add the oil with onion pieces. Sprinkle some yaji and we're good to go.
- 8
The difference is the taste, the taste is the difference. 😋😋😋🤩🤩🤩

It will taste better if it retains some lumps. Recipe by cafe0305 cookpad.japan -
