Ingredients

  1. 1medium yam
  2. Water
  3. Salt
  4. Egusi soup
  5. 5tomatoes, 5 peppers and 1 big onion(Grated)
  6. 1 tinGrinded Egusi
  7. 1 serving spooneach of palm oil and veg oil
  8. 2 bunchesspinach or ugwu washed and sliced
  9. Washed and chopped spring onion
  10. 1/2 tinGrinded cray fish
  11. 30 pcssliced and cooked pkomo
  12. 8 pcsseasoning cubes
  13. 1 tspcurry
  14. 1 tspginger and garlic paste
  15. 1 tspsalt

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the yam, slice and wash and cook with water and salt till completely soft.

    Using a mortar and pestle pound the yam till soft and sticky, sprinkling the yam water at intervals

  3. 3

    Mould into desired shape and size..... Keep aside

    For the soup

    Mix the egusi with water to form a paste

  6. 6

    Add the oil into the pot and fry the grinded pepper mix for 5mins, scoop out, add little oil and add the egusi mix gradually in ball

  7. 7

    Fry for 3 mins, add the fried pepper mix and water, salt, pkomo, seasoning and curry

  8. 8

    Allow to cook for 30 mins, add in the cray fish cook for 5 more mins then finally add ginger/garlic paste and sliced spinach and spring onion

  9. 9

    Allow it to steam for 5 mins....ready to serve for lunch or dinner😋🤤
