Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsscald milk
  2. 2 teaspoonsalt
  3. 4 tablespoonsshortening
  4. 1 cupwhite flour
  5. 5 cupswhole wheat flour
  6. 1/4 cupmolasses
  7. 21/2 packsyeast

Cooking Instructions

    Combine small amount of the milk and yeast

  2. 2

    Add salt and molasses and blend

  3. 3

    Add all the flour

  4. 4

    What partly mixed add melted shortening

  5. 5

    Knead till elasticity

  6. 6

    Cover and let rise 2 hours

  7. 7

    Knead down and let rise 45 min

  8. 8

    Knead down let rise 15 minutes

  9. 9

    Put in loaf pan let rise 1 hour butter top

  10. 10

    Bake at 400 for 20 min

  11. 11

    Reduce heat to 350 bake 40 min longer.
