Sweet Onion and Natto Oyaki (Flat Cakes)
Once, I bought some sweet onions and natto when I'd forgotten that I'd already ordered them for delivery from my co-op, and so ended up with excess sweet onions and natto!I came up with this recipe as a way to use them up.While they are frying, do not touch them.Even if they break apart while flipping them, they will stick back together by shifting the batter back in place with a spoon. You could pour in half the batter to make a large flat cake, but when I tried to pour all of the batter in, it was a challenge to flip it over.I recommend making 6-7 small flat cakes. Crunchy Natto and Cheese Fritters
The "Mrs. Corn" recipe that COOKPAD user Muu uploadedwas really delicious, so I thought about making a "Mr. Okra" version. But when I checked my refrigerator I found I had some natto that was about to expire... I wondered if a natto fritter could be delicious?! I gave it a try and it was delicious. Enjoy it with plenty of lemon, grated daikon radish and soy sauce, or mentsuyu. Nutrition info per 1 serving - 431 kcal, 17.2 g protein, 24.8 g of fat, 33.4 g carbohydrates. Please be careful not to burn the fritters. I have been asked about what to do with the included sauce and mustard that comes with a packet of natto. You can mix it into the batter as a flavoring, which is also delicious. Just be careful as adding the sauce and mustard makes the fritters even more liable to getting burnt. Recipe by ShinonomeA

Natto Tofu Fritters
I wanted to make something that would be light on the stomach when I wasn't feeling too well. It's not oily, so it won't sit heavy in your stomach even if you eat a lot.Draining excess water from the tofu is an extra step, but by doing so beforehand avoids the problem of the mixture being too soft. This is lightly flavored, so for bento use you may want to add more salt. It's also low in calories so it's perfect for people on a diet. You'll be full and satisfied too. Recipe by hima-hima

Stir Fried Natto and Chopped Udon Noodles with Sesame Oil
I love natto! But it's hard to use with noodles since they don't mix well together... So I used fried soba noodles with fried rice as inspiration. The important thing is to chop up the udon noodles so that the natto coats them better. The cheese and sesame oil melt together for a surprisingly delicious flavor. Recipe by akkonsyrup.

Easy 5 Minute Recipe! Fried Rice with Natto
When I served this to my husband he couldn't believe that I'd paired natto with butter. It was somewhat of an epiphany and now he asks for it all the time. When you start to stir-fry, don't stir the ingredients too much.I call this fried rice but I feel that the ingredients are cooked rather than stir-fried.Gently push down on the rice once with a ladle, then flip it over once it's browned. Keep repeating this step and you'll end up with a nice and fragrant dish. Recipe by Mossa-n

Fluffy Natto Fried Rice
There's a dish where you mix the egg into the natto and beat it until airy. The fluffy egg mixes in deliciously with the rice. It worked well with this fried rice. Season with lots of black pepper and add just a bit of soy sauce to create a colorful and wonderfully fragrant dish. After mixing the egg into the natto, the main point is to beat it together well. It will become like an omelet soufflé. Since you'll be adding rice, mix it together really well and when it's cooked, it should be crumbly. Heating the rice in the microwave is also important. You can use chopped natto or natto made with smaller beans. Recipe by Reinia

Egg, Natto and Onion with Shirataki Noodles
This is a shirataki noodle version of a pasta dish I've been making sometimes. If you don't like the distinctive odor of shirataki noodles, boil them at Step 2 for more than 3 minutes to get rid of it. (I hate that odor and I can eat them fine after boiling for 3 minutes, so I think that's enough...) For 1 serving. Recipe by milestone

Natto with Miso and Mayonnaise
My husband's brother taught me this recipe. He insists that this is way to eat natto. He recommends it to me whenever we talk about cooking. When I decided to give it a try, it tasted much better than I'd imagined.Add the accompanying sauce from the natto pack to taste. If you like your natto to be strongly flavored, try adding a few drops of soy sauce. If you like yours slightly spicy, mix in some ra-yu, doubanjiang, or yuzu pepper. My brother-in-law recommends both the green onion miso mayonnaise and the tuna miso mayo. Grated Daikon Radish & Natto Pasta
Adding grated daikon to natto gives it a light, smooth feel, so I tried making this using pasta instead of rice. I accidentally added the Krazy Salt, but it actually turned out well. You can use mentsuyu as a substitute if you don't have dashi soy sauce. Since this has grated daikon I think it won't develop that rich of a flavor, but the richness changes depending on the maker of the dashi soy sauce. Keep this and the saltiness of the natto in mind and continually check the taste when making this. Recipe by feritita

Spinach and Natto with Tempura Crumbs
My children eat a lot of vegetables, so one bunch of spinach disappears between the 4 of us in an instant. So I added natto for extra volume and topped the dish with tempura crumbs.Even just a tiny bit of sesame oil increases the flavor You can top with anything you want I like to add a little bit of yuzu pepper. Really Simple! Quick and Easy Natto Okonomiyaki
My family loves natto and goes through it like there's no tomorrow... Occasionally, a package of forgotten natto makes an appearance from the back of the fridge, This is what I always make during times like these. The water content from the roughly chopped cabbage will help shape the mixture, so mix after adding all of it to the bowl. If it is still too thick after flipping it over and pressing down on it a bit with a spatula, cover it with a lid, and steam-cook it for a bit. For 1 person. Recipe by korobei

Natto & Grated Daikon Radish Soba
A coworker from Hiroshima at my old work place taught me about natto soba. I wanted to eat a version with vegetables, and without the natto sinking to the bottom of the bowl! So, I came up with my own variation. I didn't really like soba before, but I've been buying it more since learning this recipe. Of course, this is what I have for my New Year's Eve soba!To dilute the noodle dipping sauce, be sure to use dashi, not water. The taste of the soba sauce will be completely different. The reason for using half the regular amount of sauce is because the natto will sink as you eat it. Another reason is to keep it from becoming too salty; if you prefer a lot of sauce, then double the amount. This is also delicious with chilled noodles and sauce. Recipe by Nanaha778
