Alluring Sweet Potato Coconut Sticks Alluring Sweet Potato Coconut Sticks
I thought of a delicious autumn flavor using mirin. I figured that sweet potato and coconut together would definitely be delicious. I made this three days in a row upon the request of my husband and son.Boiling the syrup brings out its sweetness, so please boil until thick. I used fine coconut, but use whatever you have available. You can substitute honey for the mirin and sugar. Recipe by Harukomachi cookpad.japan -
Basic Sweet Rolled Omelet for Lunchboxes Basic Sweet Rolled Omelet for Lunchboxes
Even though it is so easy to make, I never get tired of these basic rolled omelets. The secret to a tall and well formed rolled omelet is to scramble the eggs for the first and second layers.Granulated sugar produces an elegant flavour that is not too cloying!Sweet omelets scorch easily, so make sure to oil the pan before adding in each layer of egg. Also be careful of how much heat you are using, and adjust it as necessary. Recipe by Taamu mama cookpad.japan -

Fragrant Sweet Swirls ( Shira Jilapi) Fragrant Sweet Swirls ( Shira Jilapi)
My mom is an amazing cook. She was all inspired by her mom -in-law,my grandma. This sweet dish is a classic recipe which my mom learned from her and me from my mom. I never saw my Grandma as she passed away b4 I was born. She wasn't there but all her recipes made my childhood full of tasty foods. She cooked for us through my mom. Sharing this recipe is a tribute to her and big thanks to my dear mom. Tiara -

Mishti Singara: Sweet Samosas Stuffed with Kheer and Khoya Mishti Singara: Sweet Samosas Stuffed with Kheer and Khoya
While traditional samosa or singara (that's what we Bengalis call it) are filled with a spicy potato filling, this one comes with a sweet filling made of reduced milk, milk solids and semolina, laced in sticky sugar syrup. The filling can also be made of chhana or cottage cheese, but I like the kheer version more. The given proportion yields around 40 small samosas or 30 large ones.See more on my blog post here: http://www.allthatsdelicious.com/mishti-singara-recipe Lets Talk Food -
Chestnut and Sweet Potato Yokan Chestnut and Sweet Potato Yokan
Chestnuts and sweet potatoes -- the bounties of autumn!I had a craving for sweet potato yokan, but wanted something different, so I added sweetened chestnuts and the result was amazing. A total success!Once the sweet potato cools down, it's hard to strain, so keep the potatoes warm under the plastic wrap, taking out only as much as you can strain. Straining the potatoes is tiresome and tedious, but the texture is completely different with this step, so keep at it.For the mold, you can line a bento box in plastic wrap and use it as a mold. For an easy-to-make amount. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -
