Ingredients

3 to 4 hours
10 to 12 servings
  1. 2 lbspinto beans
  2. 1 tbspsalt
  3. 1 tbspblack pepper
  4. 1 tbspgarlic powder
  5. 1/2 tspto 1 tsp cayenne pepper (the more the spicier)
  6. 1 tbspchile powder
  7. 1 cupbrown sugar
  8. 1/4 cupmaple syrup
  9. 2jalapeño's diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  10. 4-6diced tomato's
  11. 1 bunchchopped cilantro
  12. 1 lbyour favorite cooked brisket
  13. 1/4 cupyour favorite barbecue sauce (I enjoy head country)
  14. 4-5 quartswater

Cooking Instructions

3 to 4 hours

    Soak pinto bean in water two to four hours.

    In a large 6 quart pot add beans, water and all other ingredients. Cover and cook on medium for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add water if cooks down.

    Great by them self or on white rice!! Enjoy
