Ingredients

  1. 1 glassyellow moong dhal
  2. 1/2 glassbasmati rice
  3. 1/2 inchginger juliennes
  4. 2Green chilli juliennes
  5. 1 pinchHing little bit
  6. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1 handfulCurry pata
  9. 2 tspCoconut

Cooking Instructions

    First keep all these ingredients ready on a plate then grind the coconut in a small jar keep aside. In a small pan add oil jeera pepper ginger green chilli curry leaves hing and curry pata.

    Grind the coconut to this texture.

    Now wash the moong dhal and rice 3 times add six glasses of water and add the tadka and coconut to it. Do not add salt at this stage.

    Pressure cook it for seven whistle let it cool and take it out. Then mix well till they are mushy. Add salt at this stage, serve hot with onion raita.
