Ingredients

  1. White yam
  2. Salt
  3. For the stew
  4. Onions
  5. Scotch bonnet
  6. Shambo(tattase)
  7. Tomatoes(not much)
  8. Red palm oil
  9. Fried beef meat
  10. Seasonings of choice (onga stew a must)
  11. Meat stock(ruwan silalen naman)

Cooking Instructions

    Peel yam cut in desired shapes,wash add salt nd water boil for 15mins u till cooked.

    In a pot add palm oil,add onion as mich as possible (so very much)fry onion untill translucent/tranparent,add pepper mix and stir fry(note it shuld be blended) after few mins of frying add fried meat nd nd seasoning of choices,and close the lid nd reduce the heat to medium add little meat stock,if available add chopped mint leaves and onga(stew)the red one,turn off heat and serve with chilled juice.

    Note,i normally use ginger,garlic,dried persely,thyme(gino brand),nutmeg, and so on,
