Ingredients

  1. 1 cupflour (self raising flour)
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1/4 cupoil or melted butter
  4. 5eggs
  5. 1/2 tspsalt for taste
  6. 2 tspvanilla flavour
  7. 1 tspbaking powder (if u are using plain flour)

Cooking Instructions

    Separate the egg yolk from the white, in a mixing bowl, beat the egg white till frothy then add sugat little at a time. Until u have soft peaks & it's glossy. Set aside.

    In another bowl, beat the egg yolk, when it starts to foam, add sugar little at a time, until creamy, add the vanilla then half of the flour, use a spatula and fold, add the rest of the flour & fold in gently

    Add the oil, then add the egg white, gently fold, mix until it's combined. Now transfer to a baking pan.

    Bake for 30-35minutes until golden. Allow to cool for 10minutes in pan before transferring to a wire rack or tray.
