Sift all dry ingredients

Add sugar and warm water to form a dough

Add butter after forming a dough and kneed properly or untill light

Cut into sizes and roll out round or use a doughnut cutter

Cover and allow to rise

Fry in a pot and the oil shouldn't be very hot before you put in your doughnut

Fry and flip regularly until golden brown

Mix cinnamon and sugar and dab your doughnut on it as shown in the pic.

I have attempted so many bread type doughnut recipes. I took the best ingredient ratios, mixing then adding to pan, then coating, from several recipes.Try to use new oil to fry these!You can substitute the egg with milk, but they will begin hardening the next day.If the dough contains too much moisture, it will evaporate when fried and they will wither when taken out of the oil. Makes 24-30 doughnut holes. Everytime I've made them, it's made 29. The story behind this recipe for me is that for highschool swimming, we had to make a baked good or treat to share with the team. I didn't want to just do something predictable like chocolate chip cookies, so I thought about the other sweets that I enjoy. And I thought about the State Fair and mini donuts popped in my mind.
