Cut bread loaf to desired large shapes then set aside,then in a bowl add flour,grounded ginger,cloves and pepper,then add salt and seasoning,break in egg,add water to make a thick batter,then add sliced green pepper,mint leaf and parsley

Pick a bread deep in batter,make sure bread is well coated,then fry in hot oil,fry till it looks crispy

I baked an English style ginger bread this winter that I like to eat during the cold season. When I saw a recipe for pain d'épices (spiced bread) here on Cookpad, it made me crave my mums old pain d' épis. Thankfully my mum gave me this recipe!
