Ingredients

  1. FOR ALOO MASALA:
  2. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  3. 1/2onion, sliced
  4. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  5. 1/4 tspturmeric
  6. 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  7. 1/4 tspcoriander powder(roasted)
  8. 1/4 tspcumin powder(roasted)
  9. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  10. 1green chilli finely chopped (or according to your taste)
  11. 2 tbspcoriander leaves (finely chopped)
  12. 8 curry leaves (finely chopped)
  13. 1/4 tspchilli flakes
  14. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  15. 4large potato, boiled & mashed
  16. 2 tbspoil
  17. to tasteSalt
  18. FOR BATTER:
  19. 1 cup besan / gram flour
  20. 2 tbsprice flour/suji
  21. 1/4 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  22. 1/2 tspkasuri methi(crushed)
  23. 1/2 tspkitchen king masala (optional)
  24. 1/4 tspturmeric
  25. 1/4 tspchat masala powder
  26. 1/2 tspsalt
  27. 1/4 cupwater
  28. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    In a large kadai heat oil, add cumin seeds, after few seconds add curry leaves and onion. saute few minutes.

    Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until the onions turn golden brown.

  3. 3

    Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chilli flakes, salt and chaat masala. saute on low flame.

    Take a small ball sized aloo mixture and flatten slightly.

    Add boiled and mashed potato, green chilli, coriander leaves and mix well. saute few minutes

    Deep fry in hot oil, stirring occasionally.

    Once the aloo chop turns golden brown drain off over kitchen paper. If u want sprinkle some chat masala powder.

    Dip in besan batter and coat uniformly.

  9. 9

    Finally, enjoy aloo chop with green chutney or tomato sauce.
