Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix together the ☆ ingredients, then let the bread soak in the mixture. (If you let the bread soak like this overnight until right before frying, the bread will completely soak up the mixture.)
- 2
Heat butter in a frying pan, then line up your slices of soaked bread. Cook over medium-low heat until golden brown.
- 3
Flip over to fry the other side until golden brown.
- 4
When both sides have turned golden brown, sprinkle the sugar (granulated, if you have it), flip the bread over, and let cook until the sugar has caramelized.
- 5
It's cute if you shape your bread like this!
- 6
Top with maple syrup, chocolate sauce, heavy cream, fruit, etc.
