The Name "Sheer khurma" many will be surprised😍 to know that Pakistan's beloved sweet dish actually originates from "Persia"
"Sheer" means milk in Persian and "Khurma" means dates.
The dish which truly represents the essence of Eid-ul-Fitr is sheer khurma.Around the world it is a dish associated with Muslim celebrations. A vermicelli pudding prepared by Muslims not only in Pakistan but in Afghanistan, india,and many parts of Central Asia.
Traditionally main ingredients are used in sheer khurma is vermicelli,milk and dates but with the passage of time society has set a different take on the delectable dish depending on the region and likes pistachio, raisins, Almonds, walnuts, and may be added rose water.

Ingredients

  1. 1 Lmilk
  2. 5 tblspowder milk/ condensed milk
  3. 5 tblsvermicelli
  4. Dry nuts(Almond, Cashew,pistachio,walnut, date,raisins,)
  5. Sugar to taste
  6. 2 tblsdesi ghee
  7. Pinchsaffron

Cooking Instructions

    Wash your hand say bismiAllah and darood shareef.

    Take a pan add milk,sugar and milk powder let it boiled...later on cooked it for 15-20m on low flame for thickness of milk

  3. 3

    On other side take a pan add vermicelli first fry it in desi ghee for 2-3m on low flame.

    Then fry all nuts in same pan.

  5. 5

    When dry nuts fry well and turnout in light golden color turn off flame.

  6. 6

    Add roasted vermicelli in that milk then add all nuts cook it for more 5-10m

  7. 7

    After 10m pour in serving bowl Sprinkle saffron on it keep in fridge and enjoy after chilled😀😃
