Soft & Crispy, Made with Jam Okara Scones Soft & Crispy, Made with Jam Okara Scones
I love scones. I make them using various ingredients. The other day I came across a recipe using strong flour, and it was delicious with a texture I hadn't had before. So I came up with this recipe using strong flour and okara in the dough. In steps 3 and 4 mix the dough without kneading it (if you knead it, it won't be crispy after baking). If using salted butter please reduce the amount of salt used.If you cool them, when it's time to eat, warm them in a oven for a more delicious taste. Fig Jam Fig Jam
My family is separated into those who eat figs plain and those who like them as a jam, but only a few of us like them plain so they go bad fairly quickly. This is why I made them into a jam that can be stored. The amount of sugar will depend on the sweetness of the figs, so adjust as needed. Ripe figs are pretty sweet, so please add more lemon juice. In Step 4, be careful not to let it boil down too much. Recipe by Nu-shi. (Uses 1 pack of 5 small figs.) cookpad.japan -
Easy Microwaved Strawberry Jam Easy Microwaved Strawberry Jam
My friend told me that strawberry jam could easily be made in the microwave, so I tried making my own. It really was easy and delicious so I've made it repeatedly. It also comes out delicious when made with homegrown juneberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc., or even smaller amounts. While it's heating up in the microwave, it will swell out quite a bit, so please use a somewhat large bowl. When removing from the microwave, the bowl will be hot so be careful.Even if it seems a bit watery, it will thicken as it cools. Adjust the cooking time and amount of sugar as needed. Don't cover the bowl with plastic wrap. If only making a small amount, use less time. Recipe by Crepemeter cookpad.japan -

Creamy Banana Jam in 5 Minutes! Creamy Banana Jam in 5 Minutes!
We sell this amazingly delicious jam at work, so I made this! At work, they use 1 kg of bananas and vanilla beans to make this but, I made an easy-to-make-at-home version! While boiling it, scum will rise, so be sure to skim it off. It gives a prettier result. I wanted to use vanilla beans to make this, but I used vanilla oil (if you use vanilla essence, turn off the heat before add it). I recommend using ripened bananas. Recipe by satomako cookpad.japan -
No-Bake Blueberry Jam Cheesecake No-Bake Blueberry Jam Cheesecake
I made some blueberry jam, so I wanted to make something with it. So, I made a variation of my usual no-bake cheesecake with ingredients I had on hand.I think it's a little sweet, but to me, it's delicious. If you add some lemon juice to the jam, it would probably taste great. Removing it from the tart pan is a pain, so you can wrap it with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to chill.
