The grapes and blueberries from last weeks fruit box were getting past their best and needed preserving. What better way?

Big love to @Sonia as I used her grape jam recipe to work out ratios.

Ingredients

30 mins
  1. 300 ggreen grapes
  2. 50 gblueberries
  3. 15 mlwater
  4. 90 gcoconut sugar
  5. Squeezelemon 🍋

Cooking Instructions

30 mins
  1. 1

Wash the fruit and add to a pan with the water. Cook over a low/medium heat for 10 mins until the fruit starts to soften.

  2. 2

Once softened, mash the fruit using a potato masher. Some recipes call for the skins and seeds to be removed from the fruit base at this stage. I decided against this as I quite like my jam textured and it’s also much easier!

  3. 3

Add the sugar and lemon juice and stir well. Heat to a boil, then reduce and leave to cook for about 10 mins stirring regularly.

  4. 4

When it’s ready it will stick to the back of a spoon.

  5. 5

Transfer the jam to a container and leave to cool before putting it in the fridge. It will last a week or so. Enjoy!
