Our wonderful neighbor grows vegetables in their backyard, so we get to try all kinds of fresh produce. This time, we used purple long beans and ground chicken for a delicious, easy dish that's perfect with rice or as a lunchbox meal.

Our wonderful neighbor grows vegetables in their backyard, so we get to try all kinds of fresh produce. This time, we used purple long beans and ground chicken for a delicious, easy dish that's perfect with rice or as a lunchbox meal.

Prepare the ingredients: seasonings and ground chicken.

Wash the purple long beans and cut them into small pieces. Set aside.

Peel the garlic and finely mince it.

Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, then add the ground chicken and stir-fry.

Add the seasonings to the pan and stir-fry the chicken until well flavored.

Add the purple long beans to the pan, stir-fry briefly, then cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Turn off the heat and serve the fresh, seasonal vegetables on a plate.

* You can substitute ground pork for ground chicken.
* Letting the beans cook covered helps bring out their flavor.
