Ingredients

7-8 servings
  • 250 gramsMoth ke mogar dal
  • As per tasteSalt
  • as per tasteRed chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoonToasted coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoonGrated ginger
  • 2-3chopped green chillies
  • 1 cupChopped coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoonAsafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoonCarom seeds

Steps

    Soak moth ka mogar dal for 3-4 hours

  2. 2

    Now remove the excess water from dal and strain it.
    Grind it coarsely add little amount of water if required

  3. 3

    Now mix red chilli powder, salt as per taste, toasted coriander seeds,1-2 green chilli, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, 1 tablespoon carom seeds, asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon, chopped coriander 1 cup. Mix it well with ground dal and make sure you have thick consistency similar to pakoda.

    And put pakoda one by one with your or spoon either and fry it till it get golden brown. It is to be done at medium heat flame and it may take 8-10 minutes....

    Now heat a pan and put oil as per requirement to deep fry the pakoda

  6. 6

    Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.

  7. 7

    It can be reserved for 2 days in winters. During summer it can be reserved for a day.
