Ingredients

for tuwo
  1. Semovita
  2. Water
  3. Soup
  4. Kuka (baobab powder)
  5. Attarugu
  6. Onions
  7. Garlic
  8. Daddawa(locust beans)
  9. Ginger
  10. Seasoning
  11. Palm oil
  12. Chicken or beef
  13. Dry Fish(optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Blend or pound your pepper,onions,garlic,ginger,locust beans. Cook your chicken or beef and wash the fish

    Add Palm oil or groundnut oil into your pot

  3. 3

    Add your grinded mixture. pour in your stock or hot water. Add your seasoning. Also put already washed and clean dry fish and beef. Allow to cook

    Remove the fish and meat from the pot

  5. 5

    Use a cooking broom or whisker. Gradually pour in your kuka and stir well

  6. 6

    Add back your chicken or beef and fish. And off d stove

  7. 7

    For tuwon semovita. Boil water in a pot. Add keep some aside.

    In another bowl mix semo with room temperature water into a watery paste. Not too watery thou

  9. 9

    Add the paste into the boiling water and gradually stir with a turning stick

  10. 10

    Low the heat and allow to boil. Don't completely cover the lead of d put because it might bubble and spill

  11. 11

    Get the remaining semo vita flour and gently pour and keep stiring with your stick till you get a thick mixture. Turn well

  12. 12

    Add in remaining hot water and cover to allow some more heat for like 10 mins

  13. 13

    Open and turn again. If it is too strong for you add little hot water and turn well.

  14. 14

    And serve
