Ingredients

  1. Forstuffing--
  2. 4boiled raw banana
  3. 1/2 tspginger chilli paste
  4. 1 tspsalt or as per taste
  5. 1 tspsugar (optional)
  6. 1 tsplemon juice
  7. as requiredchopped coriander leaves
  8. For tempering--
  9. 1 tbspoil
  10. 1/4 tspmustard seeds (rai)
  11. 1 tspurad dal
  12. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  13. Pinchasafoetida (hing)
  14. 2-3curry leaves
  15. For batter--
  16. 1/2 cupgram flour (besan)
  17. Pinchturmeric powder
  18. Pinchasafoetida
  19. as per tasteSalt
  20. Pinchbaking soda

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, mash the boiled bananas and mix all the ingredients and pour the tempering on it and mix well. Make small balls from it.

    For batter, take half cup besan flour, add salt, turmeric powder, hing and a pinch of baking soda. Add water and make a thick batter.

    Dip the prepared vadas in the batter and deep fry on medium flame till they turn golden brown. Serve with chutney or fried chillies.
