Ingredients

  1. 1 kgcarrot
  2. 1 litrefull cream milk
  3. 1/2 cupgrated khoya or mawa
  4. 4 tablespoonghee
  5. 1/4 teaspooncardamom powder
  6. 3/4 cupsugar
  7. 1 tablespoonchopped Dryfruits

    Firstly wash all carrots and clean it. Now peel off and grate in a bowl.

    Heat a large kadai and add ghee. Then add grated carrots into the kadai. Keep the flame slow and stir it.

    Saute the grated carrots until it changes a colour and become aromatic.

    Then add milk and cook it. Continue to boil until the grated carrots are cooked well and milk reduces.

    Once the milk thickens completely, add cardamom powder, grated khoya or mawa and sugar. (If you like more sweetened then add more sugar)

    Give it a good mix and cook until the sugar dissolves and thickens.

    Now gajar ka halwa is ready to serve. Sprinkle chopped Dryfruits on the top. The tasty delightful dessert is ready to eat. Enjoy it.
