Ingredients

3-4 servings
  1. 2 cupsgram flour (Besan)
  2. 1 Cuproasted makhana
  3. 1/2 cuproasted peanuts
  4. 1 cuppure ghee
  5. 1.5 cupsugar
  6. 1cupWater
  7. 8-10almonds
  8. 8-10pistachio
  9. 3-4cardamoms

    To make besan burfi firstly, roast the gram flour. Before roasting the gram flour add pure ghee. Mix well them. Place the gram flour in the plate and rub it between your hands.like this to make it coarse.

    After making it coarse, strain the mixture in a sieve with thick wires so that mixture become even. Place the sieve on a bowl and strain the gram flour.

    Now, roast the gram flour. Turn the gas on, put pure ghee in a pan and add gram flour. Roast the gram flour by stirring it continuously till it becomes golden brown. Make sure gram flour do not stick to pan. Gram flour is roasted and smells good. Ghee has also seperating from the gram flour. Turn off the flame and take out the gram flour in a plate.

    Now, we will make a sugar syrup in pan. Add sugar in a pan and add water in the pan. sugar has melted in the water and we need two thread syrup. Sugar syrup is ready and add roasted gram flour.Add roasted and blend the makhana. Add Roasted and blend the peanuts.

    Flame is kept to minimum and mix gram flour, makhana, peanuts. Cook for 3-5 minutes on medium flame. The mixture has become quit thick. Cook it till it forms one lump in the centre.

    Grease the plate with pure ghee and place the gram flour, makhana and peanuts mixture in the plate. Sprinkle dryfruits like pistachio and almonds. Cut into your choice. Enjoy the mithai.
