One taste that lingers from my childhood days is that of dried neem flowers fried with potatoes and red pumpkin. The sweet bitter taste of the dish, combined with the unique aroma of the neem flower, leaves an unforgettable memory linked to the onset of summer. This is a typical traditional Odia dish that has almost vanished and is unknown to the younger generation. I have always relished the way my grandmother cooked this dish, and I am presenting her recipe.
