Steps

Dry roast the Dal and Gobindobhog Rice.

Then wash them thoroughly. Soak the rice in water.

Put a pot in oven. Add mustard oil. Temper the oil with 1 tsp Cumin seeds. Add the coconut pieces. Fry them till become golden. Add the potato cubes. Fry them till they become golden brown in colour.

Add water. Add 1 tsp Turmeric powder. Cook for few minutes. Cut the tomato into cubes. Put it in pot. Add the Dal.

Cook till dal gets half cooked.Add the soaked rice. Cook till rice gets cooked. Add 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder and finish cooking.
