Ingredients

30 minutes
8-10 pieces
  1. For BALLS,
  2. as requiredCheese, grated
  3. 1Potatoes, boiled and mashed
  4. 1 cup Corn kernels, boiled
  5. 1Onion, finely chopped
  6. 1Capsicum, finely chopped
  7. as requiredCoriander, finely chopped
  8. 1Green chilli, finely chopped
  9. 1tbsp Garlic-ginger paste
  10. 1 tbsp Chilli flakes
  11. 1 tbsp Oregano
  12. 1 tbsp Black pepper, coursely ground
  13. As per taste Salt
  14. 1 tbsp Garam masala(optional)
  15. 1 cup Poha (as required)
  16. For FILLING,
  17. as required Mozzarella cheese, small cubes
  18. For COATING,
  19. 2 tbspAll-purpose flour
  20. 2 tbspCorn flour
  21. 60 mlWater
  22. 2Bread crumbs of bread slices
  23. as required Oil for deep frying
  24. For GARNISHING,
  25. As per requirementChilli flakes
  26. as required Oregano
  27. as requiredCoriander, finely chopped
  28. For SERVING,
  29. As required Ketch up/ Mayonnaise or any dip of your choice

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl, mix together cheese, potatoes, corn kernels, onion, capsicum, coriander, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper and salt.

    At this stage, Add poha If you feel your mixture has lot of moisture content in it.

    Divide the mixture into equal portions. Flatten the ball, put cheese cube in the center and seal. Roll between your palms to make it smooth.

    In a small bowl, take all-purpose flour, corn flour, and water. Mix well until it becomes lump-free.

    Dip the ball in the slurry(all-purpose flour and corn flour) and coat it with bread crumbs. Repeat the process for the remaining balls. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes(or freeze 15 minutes).

    Deep fry them on a medium flame until golden brown.

    Garnish it with chilli flakes, oregano and coriander. Serve warm with your favourite dip/sauce.
