Add a layer of salt in the pressure cooker and preheat for about 15 to 20 minutes. In-between we can prepare the cake batter.

Butter should be at room temperature. Take a mixing bowl add butter and powdered sugar mix it to get a creamy mixture.

Now add maida and baking powder to that butter mixture.

Mix it well.

Now add milk little by little and mix it by following the cut & fold method.

Add vanilla essence. Mix well. Now vanilla cake batter is ready.

Take a vessel or cake mold, grease it with butter and dust with maida, then add the cake batter. Tap it.

Now open the preheated cooker and Cook for 45 min in low flame. Check after 45min. After 45 to 50 min use a small stick or knife to check, it shouldn't stick to the knife. The vanilla cake will be ready. Leave it to cool. Then remove it from the vessel..
